As an extension of our current work with the LB Haringey Council, New Horizons Consultants are delighted to be invited to audit, review and optimise their leisure service commercial activities.
The audit and review of the Council's commercial activity is an extension of our work to optimise income for their leisure centres.
In 2007 the New Horizons Consultants undertook a review of leisure income and subsidy. In April 2008 LB Haringey Council launched a pricing initiative based on this review. The New Horizons Consultants were engaged for a 12 month period to assist in the marketing and promotion of the service supporting achievement of the income target. The outcome of the initiative has been successful. As a result of the pricing initiative an additional £380K of income was achieved for 2008/09, a 12.5% increase on the previous year
Whilst undertaking the initial review the New Horizons Consultants with the LB Haringey Council identified a need to audit and review specific commercial activities and develop a strategy to optimise the income from them.
In relation to their commercial activities the LB Haringey Council wish to:
Audit and review:
The rationale for them;
The services being provided;
The income and expenditure related to them
The promotion of them; and
How they are delivered.
Develop an action plan in order to optimise their income where appropriate.
The scope of the audit and review will be the commercial activities at Haringey Sixth Form Centre, Park Road, Tottenham Green and White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre.
The commercial activities to be audited and reviewed at the four centres are:
Events including functions
Car Park Charges
